Breeze & Beach Chats
Holidays this year took our little family of four to the seaside—and it’s been pure magic. We woke up at dawn to catch the low tide, the cool sea breeze brushing our faces as we walked barefoot on the soft sand. “Mom, look! The water is gone!” 5-year-old Tom shouted, pointing at the exposed shoreline, his English mixed with excitement. 8-year-old Lily grabbed her small bucket, already chattering: “Let’s find seashells! Remember the word ‘shell’ we practiced before?” My husband Mike knelt down beside Tom, drawing a circle in the sand: “This is a ‘puddle’—let’s see if any little crabs are hiding here!” The sound of waves crashing, the kids’ giggles, and our messy English conversations blended perfectly—who needs perfect grammar when the ocean is your classroom?
